Microsoft, who own Bing, have had office space in Manchester for well over a decade, however the move to bring the search engine to the North shows the efforts that they are making to connect better with their target audience and continue to push their own PPC Paid Advertising platform, Bing Ads.

Stating that the move acts to bring them shoulder to shoulder with other 'challenger brands' who already have a presence in Manchester, Bing hopes to grow its team in the North, after Manchester's 'Northern Powerhouse' initiative only goes to highlight the strength of the business opportunities available in the region.

The leadership team within Bing now hope to focus on businesses locally who don't appear to be making the most of their paid advertising facility, as many search marketers may not be aware that Bing provide their own advertising platform which allows your brand or business to appear at the top of the search engine results pages (SERPS).

While Bing hold only 17% of the search engine market share, they power over 766 million searches per month, and it's clear that they are making significant strides to continue growing their market share.

If you are interested in advertising on Bing, or would like any further information, please do not hesitate to contact our dedicated digital marketing team who will be more than happy to help.
