The line-up of stars recently announced to be taking part in BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing has got me reminiscing back to April when I took part in The SeaShell Trust charity ball ‘Strictly Seashell’. Now I’m not claiming to understand the full extent of the nerves these celebrities must be experiencing right now, before their lives become consumed with all things dance and glitter related, it’s not like my dabble into dancing was on national television for three months or anything! But, in my own little world, Strictly Seashell was a big deal!

So it was perfect timing to receive a show real clip of my experience from the charity, reminding me of my time learning to dance with Keith and performing the tango in front of 300 guests, at the Bentley Garage in Wilmslow. I embarked on this challenge in the first place because I wanted to help raise funds and awareness of The Seashell Trust, an incredible charity working with children and young people with complex learning difficulties. All the gang involved with making the night happen and who together raised a whopping £70K for the charity are meeting for a reunion (like celebrities do!) later in September. I wonder how many of us have keeeeeept dancing?!
